Hi Raman, I own a Ikon 1. Hi Raman, would you please let me know how much you have paid for m sequent I bought a second hand Ford Fiesta Petrol model which from an auction from my previous company Citibank.
On running on Petrol it was giving me and average of kms in the city, making a big hole in my pockets. I had got this kit fitted because I was in a dilemia, if it won't work in this car then I will get it removed and put it on my other car an i I was in big troubles after getting the CNG kit fitted as the car would run only for kms and then would start misfiring, the plugs won't work.
I used to go back to the CNG kit fellow he used to open up the plugs do some cleaning and replace them every time telling me that the plugs are to be replaced with new ones, I got the cable and plugs replaced with original Ford ones, but still the car won't work. I tried visiting other CNG mechanics who always used to come up with silly excused and the car was not running , whereas it was running perfectly on Petrol. I was really dissapointed and thought of getting it removed.
Luckily I came across one CNG fitting workshop who took the gaurantee that he can run my car on CNG on the same kit he gave me the gaurantee that he had been fitting CNG kits from the last 10 years.
I thought to give a last try. I normally don't go on highways but recently I had gone on a trip to Agra where the Ford Fiesta gave me an average of more than kms in 10 Kg of CNG, though I went on Yamuna express way. I was driving at a speed of not less than kms. So I give this happy news to all old Fiesta and Ikon owners get a CNG kit fitted in your car and follow my recommendations.

With increasing petrol prices it was really expensive to drive a car which give a mileage of just 12kms.
Heard a lot that ford cars are not good with alternative fuels howver though I shud give it a try else I will sell it and go for a diesel car. Guess what it was successful. It is commonly available. The performance of vehicle is same a petrol and no missings and pickup issues. I think that's a myth about ford cars that they don't go with alternatice fuel.. My car give aprox average is 17 km in city. But there is one problem which is I am facing that is DTE meter reading, which is continues reducing without using petrol.
